Jane C. Reeves was appointed administratrix of James's estate on 10 Jan 1826. The inventory of James C. Reeves "late of the township of Stoe Cree, in the county of Cumberland Decd" is dated 13 Feb 1826.

Cohansey Baptist Church records show a burial for James Reeve on 11 Dec 1825. And another for Jane, widow of James Reeve on 4 Feb 1846.
