The Alumni Cantabrigienses (Cambridge Alumni) includes the following about him:
REVE, CHARLES. Adm. pens, (age 15) at Caius, Apr. 10, 1589. 6th s. of William, of Monewdon, Suffolk. School, Woodbridge. Scholar, 1589-93. Of Monewdon Park, gent. Brother of Robert (1575) and Thomas (1575)- (Vis. of Essex, 1612; Venn, i. 136.)

The will of his brother Thomas states among other items: "I give unto Charles Reve my youngest brother fortie poundes of lawfull english monye. Item more I give unto the sayed Charles my englishe Bible and fortie shillings for a booke of Martyrs." He also made Charles and his mother Rose the executors to his will.

The Visitations of Essex by Raven in 1612 and by Owen and Lilly in 1634 both list a chart of the Reve family. This information was probably gathered from Charles's brother Francis Reeve as he was the primary resident of Essex from this family which the chart focuses on. The chart shows the following on George:
  • (1612) Charles Reve of Mollenden Parke, mar. ye daugh. to Hamond one of ye Masters of Chauncery
  • (1634) Charles Reeve of the university of Cambridge (married) d. of doctor Hamond one of the M. of the Chancery

The 1612 visitation indicates he had a son named Robert who was the heir. The 1634 visitation doesn't mention Robert but states he had a son named William of Harlow, Essex who married Anne Godsall (Godsalve?).
