The Alumni Cantabrigienses (Cambridge Alumni) includes the following about him:
REVE, THOMAS. Adm. pens, (age 17) at Caius, Oct. 29, 1575. 3rd s. of William, of Monewden Park, Suffolk. B. at Bures. Schools, Ipswich and Botesdale. Matric. 1575; Scholar, until 1582; B.A. 1578-9; M.A. 1582; B.D. 1589, Rive. Fellow, 1583-95. Presented to Foulden, Norfolk, Nov. 9, 1582, but resigned in six months. Died Sept. 3, 1595. M.I. at Monewden, Suffolk. Will, P.C.C. Brother of Charles (1589) and Robert (1575). (Venn, i. 84; Vis. of Essex, 1612.)

Thomas indicates in his will he was a student at Cambridge, possibly in the Gunvyll & Caius College, as he gave a gift to the college. He mentions he was sick and presumably died from it was the will was probated the same year.
In 1595 when the will was written, his father was deceased, but mother living and he asked that a preacher preach a sermon in which he remembered "William Reve my father and Rose Reve my mother (yf she be them deceased)." In addition, he mentions:

  • Franncys Reve my brother
  • George Reve my brother
  • Thomas Parker my brother in lawe and Margaret my sister
  • Elizabeth Parker the daughter of Thoms Parker Apothecarye in Bury (possibly a niece)
  • Robert Reve my nephew fyve poundes unto Elizabeth Parker my neece and goddaughter tenne poundes unto Franncys Reve my godsonnne and nephew fyve poundes
  • Robert Reve the sonne of Robert Reve my brother
  • Franncys Reve the sonne of John Reve my brother (probably the same as "Franncys Reve my godsonnne and nephew")
  • George Reve the sonne of John Reve my brother

Note that Thomas's will asks that "yf I dye within tenne myles of Monedon my desire ys to be buryed there by the Sepulcher of my father." This indicates that his father William and possible Thomas himself were buried at Monewden, St Mary's.
