Transcript

Be it known unto all men by these presents yt I William Reeves of Salem in ye county of Essex in New England butcher for & in consideration of the sume of seaventy pounds to me in hand alredy paid ye receipt whereof I doe heareby acknowledge have bargained & sould & doe by these presents (with consent of my wife) fully & clearly bargaine, aliene & sell, assign & confirm unto Robert Stone of ye same towne seaman, a certain pcell of land, lying & being sittuate in Salme aforesd & containing in ye dementions sixteen pole square measure yt is to say four poles in length & four pole in bredth & being bounded as followeth viz on the north with the streete or highway next the comon on ye south & east with ye land pf Paule Mansfield (of whome ye sd land was bought) & o ye west with the groud of Edward Bush only ye sd Paule is to alow room for a sufficient cartway betweene ye sd ground of Edw Bush & this ground hereby granted to be sold together with a new dwelling house built upon ye same & alsoe an outhouse next the street & fence & fencing wch is now upon it. To have & to hold ye sd dwekking house & ground together with ye sd outhouse & fences with all ye profitts, privilidges & appurtenances thereunto belonging & appertaining & all my right title & interest of into ye same, unto ye sd Robert Stone, his heirs, executors administrators or assigns forever and I ye sd Wm Reeves doe for myself my heirs executors & administrators further covenant promise & agree to & with ye sd Robert Stone his heirs executors administators or assigns in manner following viz that I ye sd William Reeves am sole proprietor of ye premises & yt the premises & every pt thereof are free & disengaged of & from all former & other bargained sales mortgages, seizures, debts, dues, demands or incumbrances whatsoever & that it shall & may be lawfull to & for ye sd Robert Stone his heirs, executors administrators or assigns at all times hereafter forever to have hold occupy possess & enjoy the premises & every pt thereof without any lett sute trouble eviction or molestation whatsoever of or from me ye sd William Reeves, my heirs, executors or administrators, or any other pson or psons from by or under them & further it is agreed & granted to & with ye sd Robt Stone his heirs executors administrators & assigns to have the benefitt of the cartwaye before mentioned soe farr as his ground goes according as it was granted before to ye said William Reeves by ye sd Paule Mansfield In witnes whereof & ye sd William Reeves have hereunto sett my hand & seale this tenth day of Mch in ye yeare of our Lord one thousand six hundred and seventy five Annoqrs Regri Regis Carolyn Secundi 27: 1674:5.
