This Indenture made the 28th day of November in the year of our Lord 1711 Between John Reeves of Ann Arrundell County planter on the one part, and Elizabeth Ancketill wife of Francis Ancketill of Sperring? Creek in the County afd on the other part.
Witnesseth that the said Elizth Ancketill hath Endentakeing? & doth hereby oblige herself to pay all surb his debts dues & demands as shall be due or owing on amount of ye sd John Reeves to any person or persons & ye sd Elizth Ancketill doth further Indenture to take care & bring opp Wm Reeves sonn of ye sd Jno Reeves an infant born ye seventeenth day of February last year. In consideration whereof if sd Jno Reeves hath & by these presents doth bind & putt himself a servant according to the customs of servants in this province for & during ye terme of five years to commence from ye day of ye date hereof to ye sd Elizth Ancketill to serve her liens & assigns in this province. And further ye sd Jno Reeves doth hereby freely Give unto ye sd ? Elizabeth Ancketill Wm Reeves to be a servant unto her her liens & assigns untill he does come unto ye age of 21 years at ye expiration of which time ye sd Elizth Ancketill doth hereby oblige herself her liens & assigns to give & allow unto ye sd Wm Reeves such rights & dues as are allowed by ye Justices of Ann Arrundell County Court to such Infants soe Given, And he sd Jno Reeves doth hereby covenant to & with his sd Justices? & ye sd Elizth Ancketill & to & with her liens & assigns shal ye sd Jno Reeves o? will truly faithfully honestly & justly serve her her liens & assigns for & during all ye terms as a servent according to ye customs of this province and further in consideration whererof ye sd Elizth Ancketill for herself her liens & assigns doth hereby covent promise & Agree to & with her sd servant to find? provide & ? him sufficient & convenient apparell dyett & lodging for & during all ye terms according to ye ? of this, and at ye expiration of ye sd terms of five years in ? to have & receive a new felt hatt & two new blue shirts a penillone & Breeches A Devonshire coate Jersey Coate a pair of Erenon falls shooe & a pait of yarn Takings(?) for his freedom Rights and alsoe his to have every Saturday in ye afternoon except service upon very exteraordinary matters is required In witness whereof ye sd parties to this present Indenture here set their hands & seales the Day & yeare first above written

Then came before us Richard Jones and Thomas Larkins two of her Majesties Justices of Ann Arr County Court ye within bounded Jno Reeves & acknowledged himself to be ye servant of Eliz Ancketill her leins & assigns according to this present Indenture And alsoe his sonn William Reeves and desired ye same to be Recorded among ye Records of Ann Arrll County Acknowleged before us
