In the name of God Amen the fourteenth day of June in the year of our Lord 1723 I Robert Reeves of the County of Northumberland being very sick and weak of body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be Given unto God therefore calling to mind the mortality of my body and Knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my Last will and Testament that is to say principally and first of all I Give and recommend my soul into the hands of God that Gave it and for my body I recommend it to the Earth to be buried in a Christan like and decent manner at the discretion of my Exec nothing Doubting but at the General resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to Bless me in this Life I Give divise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form Imp I Give and beqeuath unto Frances my beloved wife (my Debts being fully satisfied and pay'd) her sufficient maintainance during such time as she shall remain my widdow and no longer Item I Give and bequeath unto John son of Francis (my wife all my lands which I Die seized of situate lying and being in the parish of St Stephens in the County abovesaid Together with all houses orchards and all other appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold to him the said John and his heirs forever lawfully begotten of his body Item I give and bequeath unto John son of Frances my wife all my Goods Chattles stock and all other estate that I am possesd with all after my debts are payd to him and his heirs forever only a sufficient maintainance for Frances my wife as is above mentioned and that the said John and his heirs forever shall quietly and peaceably possess and enjoy the same. Item and Lastly I do nominate and appoint Frances my wife and her son John to be my only Exec of this my Last Will and Testament and I do hereby disallow utterly and Disannul all and every other Testament wills & legacies before in anyways before this time named ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament in wittness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the Day and year above writtenRobert (hand & seal) R Reeves seal
