This Indenture made the (blank) Day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and twenty and five Between Edward Cox of the County of Baltimore in the Province of Maryland planter of the one part and William Reeves in the County and Province aforesd of the other part Witnesseth that the said Edward Cox for & in consideration of the sum of quantity of three thousand pounds of Tobacco to him already in hand paid at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents by the said William Reeves whereof and therewith he the said Edward Cox Doth acknowledge himself to be fully satisfied contented & paid & of every part & parcell thereof Doth fully clearly & absolutely acquit exonerate & Discharge the said William Reeves him his heirs & successors and every of them forever by these presents. Hath Demised Granted Bargained Sold & Aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents Doth fully nearly & absolutely demise Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff and confirm unto the said William Reeves him his heirs and successors forever A tract of land called Reeves's Neck lying in the County aforesd on the North side of the main Falls of Gunpowder River Beginning at three bounded white oaks standing upon a hill & Running from thence south twenty Degrees west one hundred & thirty perches thence south forty three degrees east twenty eight perches thence north forty six Degrees East thirty four perches thence north thorty five degrees east thirty four perches then north seventy Degrees East Twenty perches thence North Thirty three Derees East seventy perches thence with a straight line to the said Bounded trees containing and laid out for fifty acres more or less Together with all and singular its woods underwoods timber and timber trees houses outhouses gardens cornfields orchards pastures fences and all & singular its marshes ? ledges ways easments and all other its rights members jurisdictions & appurtenances thereunto Belonging or in any wise appertaining and also all the estate right title interest possession property claim & demand whatsoever of him the said Edward Cox in or to the same and all other estate right title interest claim challenge or demand whatsoever of any person or persons whatsoever claiming or which hereafter shall pretend to lay any claim thereto and also all Deeds writings manuscripts receiptst or Ininuments whatsoever Touching or concerning only the premises To have and to hold the said piece or parcell of land and all and singular other the premises with their & every of their appurtenes before by these presents Bargained and sold & every part & parcell thereof unto the said William Reeves to him his heirs & successors forever and the said Edward Cox doth hereby for himself his heirs executrs and Admrs covenant promise and grant to and with the said William Reeves & his heirs that the aforesaid piece or parcell of land with all other the beforegranted premises with the appurtenances and every part and parcell thereof unto the said William Reeves to him and his heirs against him the said Edward Cox his heirs executors & Adminrs & against him the said Edward Cox his heirs executors & Admin vs & against all other person or persons whatsoever shall & will warrnat & forever Defend by these presents and further the sai Edward Cox doth hereby for himself his heirs executors and Admrs covenant promise & Grant to & with the said William Reeves him his heirs & successors that he the said Edward Cox at the time of the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents is & standeth seized of and in the aforesd piece or parcell of land with all other the Beore Grnated premises and every part & parcell thereif with the appurtenances in his own right to his own use of a good perfect sure & Indefeaseable estate & then had full power & lawfull authority to Grant Convey & assure the same unto the said William Reeves & his heirs forever according to the true intent & meaning of these presents and the said William Reeves him his heirs executrs or assigns shall and may from time to time & at all times hereafter peaceably & quietly have hold use occupy possess and enjoy the aforesaid piece or parcell of land with all other the before Granted premises and every part & parcell thereof with the appurtenances without the lest let suit trouble mollestation or interuption of him the said Edward Cox his heirs Exrs Admrs or assigns or any other person or persons whatsoever claiming by from or under him them or any of them that free & clear freely & clearly acquited Exonerated & Discharged of & from all and all former other Bargains intails losses joyntures dowers morgages annuities arrearages of rents statues recognizances issues fines amermts judgmts executions & of & from all other titles pearges troubles & incumbrances whatsoever had made & committed suffered or done by the said Edward Cox his heirs executors Admrs or assigns or any other person or persons whatsoever by his or their assent consent privity or procurement (The rents & services which shall hereafter grow Due and payable unto the Chief Lord or Lords of The fee of the premises in Respoect of his or their Signior or Signiorres only excepted or Foreprized) and lastly the said Edward Cox doth hereby for himself his heirs Exrs & Admrs covenant promise grant and agree to & with the said William Reeves his heirs & successors that he the said Edward Cox his heirs Exrs and admrs shall & will from time to time and at all times hereafter at the special instance & request & at the proper cost and charge in the law of him the said Reeves or his assigns make doe acknowledge execute and suffer all and every such reasable & lawfull acts thing & thiings device & devices conveyances & assurances in the law whatsoever for the further & best assurances surety & suremaking the aforesaid peice or parcel of land with all other the before Granted premises with their and every of their appurtenances unto the said William Reeves him his heirs and assigns forever be it by fine feoffment recovery did enroll the enrollmt of these presents release Confirmation and otherwise by any of the said ways or means or by any other ways or means Whatsoever as shall be by the said Wm Reeves his heirs or assigns or his or their council learned in the law shall be thereunto advised devised or required In Witness whereof the said Edward Cox to this present indenture have set his hand & seal the Day and Year first above written

Memd on the 4th August 1725 Came the within named Edward Cox and acknowledged the within Land & premises to be right title & interest of the within named Wm Reaves his heirs & assigns for ever and at the same time came Jane Cox wife of the said Edward Cox shee being first privately examined out of the hearing her said Husband and did acknowledge the said land and premises within mentioned to be the right title & interest of said Wm Reaves & his heirs and assigns forever before us two of his Lordships Justices for Baltimore County
