TranscriptThis Indenture made this 15th day of May in the year of our Lord God One Thousand Seven Hundred & Thirty One Between Joseph Rives of Prince George County in Bristol Parish of the one part And George Cater of Isle of Wight County & Parish of the other part Witnesseth that the said Joseph Rives hath demised granted & to farm lett and by these presents Doth Demise Grant and to ?arm lett unto the the said George Cater one Hundred Acres of Land be it more or less now in his quiet and peaceable possession & seizer by wishes of these presents being in Isle of Wight County binding on the South side of the Great Meadow John Peterson his land & Nathaniel Perry's land including the plantation whereon the said George Cater now liveth be it more or less To have and to hold, use occupy and injoy all and singular the said lands & premises with the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining together with all houses buildings fences orchards gardens woods underwoods ways waters hereditaments & appurtenances whatsoever to the said land or any part thereof belonging or in any wise appertaining to the said land & premises with the appurtenances thereunto belonging and before in these presents mentioned to be demised unto the said George Cater his heirs & assigns from the day of the date hereof for and during and untill the full end & term of three years next ensuing fully to be compleated & ended yielding & paying therefore yearly and every year during the term hereby granted unto the said Joseph Rieves his heirs & assigns the free rent of one shilling current money of Virginia if the same shall be demanded In witness whereof the said Joseph Reives have hereunto set his Hand & Seal the Day and year first above written.
