Know all men by these presents that I William Reeves of Salem in the County of Essex and province of the Massachusetts bay in New England fisherman for and in consideration of ye full and just sum of fifteen pounds province bills to me in hand before the ensealing hereof well and truly paid by my brother Cockerill Reeves of Salem aforesaid ?lectmaker ye receit whereof to full content and satisfaction I hereby acknowledge and thereof do bequitt and discharge ye sd Cockerill Reeves his heirs and assigns forever. Have bargained and sold and by these presents do freely fully and absolutely grant bargaine sell aliene enfeoff remise release convey and confirme unto the said Cockerill Reeves his heirs and assigns forever all my right title interest & part share & portion & proportion inheritance dividend & property claime and demand whatsoever of in and unto a certaine dwelling house with ye land thereto adjoyning and belonging situate in Salem aforesd late ye homestead of my hond father William Reeves decd containing by estimation half an acre more or less in ye whole bounded as followeth northerly one ye mainstreet there measuring about six poles easterly on land now as late in ye possession of the widow Derby southerly and westerly on land now or late in ye possession of ye Kemptons or however otherwise reputed to be bounded excepting only and reserving to myself heirs and assigns forever a certaine angle at the northeast corner of the premises of ye following dimentions vizt begining at the northeast corner and butting on sd Derbys land seven poles then running to the street butting on the remainder of sd homestead and measuring there? six poles and six inches and then butting northerly and ye mainstreet and measuring from Derbys norwest corner ? street goes thirty two ? excepting also one third of the old house or the value thereof also I the sd William Reeves for ye consideration above mentioned do grant bargaine and sell unto ye sd Cockerill Reeves his heirs and assigns forever one third part of the commonage at comon right Allowed for sd house use of is already laid out or hereafter may be laid out with all after divisions thereto belonging To have & to hold ye sd granted and bargained premises with ye appurtenances and priveledges excepting only as before excepted unto him the sd Cockerill Reeves his heirs and assigns forever to his and their sole use benefitt and behoof free and clear and clearly acquitted and discharged so that neither I the sd William Reeves nor any person from by or under me shall have claime challenge or demand any estate right title or interest of in or to the granted and bargained premises but thereof and from all and every action of right estate title and interest I ye sd William Reeves and all and every other person claiming from by or under me shall and will be utterly excluded and forever baned by force and vertue of these presents In Witness whereof I the abovenamed William Reeves and Sarah my wife in token of her consent have hereunto sett ? hands and seals ye twenty sixth day of February Anno Domini 1733William Reeves & a seal
