To all people to whom this present Writing shall come, I Robert Reives of the County of Surry Planter to wit - Greeting Know ye that I the said Robert Reives for and in consideration of the Natural Love & Affection which I have and do bear unto my Grandson Robert Reives Jones, son of William Jones of the County aforesaid & for divers other good causes and considerations me hereunto moving have given and granted & by these presents do give and grant unto the said Robert Reives Jones One Negro Girl called Judy and one feather bed and bolster which I usually lie on and all the furniture to the same belonging and appertaining To have hold & enjoy the said Negro Girl Judy, and the feather bed bolster & furniture aforesaid unto the said Robert Reives Jones his Executors Administrators & Assigns to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Robert Reives Jones his executors administrators and assigns for ever. And I the said Robt Reives the said Negro Girl Judy and the feather bed bolster and furniture aforesaid to the said Robert Reives Jones his executors Administrators & Assigns against all persons whatsoever shall and will warrant & forever defend by these presents In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my sea this seaventeenth day of December in the year of Our Lord Christ One Thousand seaven hundred and thirty fourSealed and DeliveredRobert RR Reives
