Transcript

Know all men by these presents that I Freeborn Reeves of Salem in the County of Essex Husbandman in consideration of Fifty pounds in Bills of Credit to me in hand paid by Cockl Reeves of Salem ye Heelmaker the receipt of which sum I hereby acknowledge I my self therewith satisfied and paid Have and hereby do grant bargain sell alien enfeoff convey and confirm unto the sd Cockerill Reeves his heirs and assigns forever All my right estate title interest part share portion proportion inheritance dividend property claime nd demand whatsoever of in and unto all and singular the lands tenements & hereditaments situate in said Salem whereof my Hond Grandfather William Reeves late of Salem aforesaid Mason died seized and of in and unto the reversions and remainders of the same with the priviledges and appurtenances to the premises belonging to have and to hold the sd granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances to him the said Cockl Reeves his heirs and assigns forever to his and their sole use benefit and behoofe and I the sd Freeborn Reeves for my self and my heirs Exrs & Admrs do covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said Cockeril Reeves his heirs Exrs Admrs & assigns that the granted premises are free & clear of and from any former or other grant bargain sale alienation or other incumbrance whatsoever that might in any measure or degree obstruct or make void this present deed. Moreover I the said Freeborn Reeves for my self my heirs Exrs & Admrs do covenant & ingage the before granted premises with ye apprtenances against myself and all persons claiming from by or under me forever hereafter to warrant secure and defend In witness whereof I the sd Freeborn Reeves have hereto set my hand and seal the Twenty sixth day of November Anno Domini 1738 In the thirteenth year of His Majesties Reign
