North CarolinaTo all People to whom these presents shall come I Paul Harrilson (sic Harralson) of Edgecombe County in the province of No Carolina in the name of our Lord God everlasting send greeting
Know ye that I the said Paul Harrilson (sic Harralson) for & in Consideration of the sum of fifty pounds lawful money of the said province to me in hand already paid by William Reeves Junr of the County & Province afsd the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge & myself fully satisfied & for divers other good causes & considerations and hereunto moving have agreed bargained & aliened enfeoffed & confirmed & by these presents do bargain sell alien enfeof & confirm unto the said William Reeves Junr his heirs & assigns forever the Plantation & a tract of land containing 331 acres by a patent bearing date the 24th day of January AD 1729 in the County & Province afsd in & upon the branch of Chockeote Beginning at a red oak on the SW side of said Chockeote thence along a line of marked trees to a barren white oak a corner tree thence along a line of marked trees to the Center of three Spanish oaks and a barren WO (white oak ?) on the same side of Chockeotte Creek then down the W course of it to the first Station to the use & behoof of him the said Wm Reeves Junr his heirs & assigns forever Together with all woods, underwoods, rights, priviledges & immunities unto the same belonging or in anywise appertaining To have & to hold the said plantation & tract of land unto the said Reeves Junr his heirs & assigns forever And I the sd Harrilson (sic Harralson) myself my heirs Exeors & Admrs do further promise covenant & agree to & with the said Reeves Junr his heirs & by these presents that he the said Reeves Junr his heirs &c shall & may peaceably & quietly have hold occupy possess & enjoy the said plantation & tract of land & all & singular the rights privileges & immunities Forever without let trouble molestation of or from me my heirs &c And I the said Paul Harrilson (sic Harralson) do for my heirs &c warrant the title of the said plantation & tract of land free & clear from me my heirs Exors & Admrs In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal this 6th day of Febry 1740
