Transcription

KNOW ALL MEN by these Presents that I Joseph Reeves junr. Of the Parish of South farnham in the County of Essex am held and firmly bound to Covington Searles in the sum of Forty Nine Pounds Current Money of Virginia to the which payment well and Truly to be made I bind my Self my Heirs & Executors & Administrators firmly by these presents Witness my hand and Seal this thirteenth day of May 1745

THE CONDITION of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Joseph Reeves & Francis his wife their heirs Executors Administrators doth at any time hereafter when Required by the above mentioned Covington Searles or his heirs Executors or Administrators make Execute & Acknowledge Such Deeds as the said Covington Searles his heirs, Executors or Administrat:s doth Prepare for the sure Conveyance of one Lott or half Acre of Land & Appurtenances, Situate Lying & being in the Town of Tappahanack (sic) & Number’d Seventy whereon the Sd. Searles now Lives Then the above Obligation to be Void otherwise to Stand and remain in full force Power & Virtue

As proved to be the Act and Deed of the said Joseph who also Signed Seald and Delivered the same as Such, by ye oath of Rob:t Spilsbee Coleman a WITNESS thereto and on ye motion of the said Covington was admitted to Record and is Truly recorded
