THIS INDENTURE made the sixteenth day of July in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and forty six BETWEEN George Reeve of Prince William County of the one part and Joseph Hutchinson of the same County of other part WITNESSETH that the said George Reeve Hath demised granted set and to Farin Lott and by these presents Doth demise grant sell and to Farin Lott one messuage To possess or parcel of land containing one hundred acres lying on the south side Burkhall branch of the County afforesaid (sic) and between the lines of Thomas Davies Edward Barry and Joseph Bohanan for and in consideration of the rents and duties hereafter mentioned and for and for and during the natural lives of of (sic) him the said Joseph Hutchinson and Ann his wife and William his son or the longest liver of them Together with all houses Edifices gardens orchards woods under woods profits commodities hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever belonging or in any wise appertaining TO HAVE AN TO HOLD the said messuage Tenement and premises to him the said Joseph Hutchinson his heirs Exers. Admrrs. And assigns during the term aforesaid YIELDING and paying therefore yearly and every year during the said term unto the said George Reeve his heirs or assigns according to Law the Next sum of five hundred & thirty pounds of Tobacco uppon (sic) the 25th day of December (the said George Reevs Rebateing the first three years rent according from the 25th day of December next Ensuing the date hereof) and if it shall so happen that the whole or any part of said yearly rent be behind or unpaid forty days after the said 25th of December that then it shall and may be lawfull for the said George Reeve his heirs Exers. Admrs. Or assigns into the said messuage Tenement and premises to Enter and Distrain and the distress to keep until the rent afforesaid with the arrearage of rent shall be fully satisfied & paid but if it shall so happen that the rent afforesaid shall be behind and no sufficient distress uppon the said premises shall be found to answer the said rent & arrearage of rent as afforesaid that then it shall and may be lawfull for the said George Reeve his heirs &c to re-enter & possess the said premises as if this Lease had never been made IN WITNESS whereof the parties above named have hereunto set their hands and Seals the day and year first above writtenSealed and Delivered } George Reeve (Seal)
