This Indenture made the fourteenth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty eight Between Walter Reeve of Northampton in the County of Burlington and province of New Jersey yeoman of the one part and Thomas Atkinson Jur of Bridgetown in the County and province aforesaid Gent of the other part Witnesseth that the said Walter Reeve for and in consideration of Forty four pounds lawfull money of said province to him in hand paid by the said Thomas Atkinson Jur at and before the sealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Walter Reeve doth hereby own acknowledge and thereof and of every part and parcel thereof Doth clearly and absolutely acquit exonerate and discharge the said Thomas Atkinsons Junr his executors Administrs and every of them forever by these presents Hath Granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed confirmed and by these presents for him and his heirs doth clearly and absolutely grant Bargain Sell aliene Enfeoffe and Confirme unto the said Thomas Atkinsen Jur and to his heirs and assigns forever All that certain piece or parcell of land situated Township and County aforesaid and is bounded viz Beginning at a post set down for a corner being corner in the line of Samuel Cripp's land and runs by William Haines land south ten Degrees Twenty four minutes unto Twety two chaines and fifty links to a post corner to Thomas Atkinson Senr land then by the same south forty eight degrees west Twenty one chains and fifty links to a hickery corner to Harvey Paxton land then by said Paxton north Thirteen Degrees west twenty five chains and thirty links to post corner in the line of the aforesaid Cripps then by the same north sixty five Degrees and a half east twenty eight chains and twenty six links to the corner port first mentioned containing by the survey forty nine acres and one rood which said forty nine acres and one rood of land is part and share of a Greater tract of land that was taken up and surveyed to the aforesaid Walter Reeve by virtue of a sifficient right of propriety that he purchased in manner following - viz one hundred acres of William Stephensen by Deed Dated this fourth Day of August Anno Dom 1713. And likewise three hundred acres of John Baumont by Deed Dated the 27th Day of July Anno Dom 1742 Reference being thereunto had will more at large appear Together with all and every the mines mineralls woods ways waters fishings fowlings hawkings hunting and all other royalties powers profitts commodities hereditaments and appurtenances to the said forty nine acres and one rood of land and premises belonging or in any wise appertaining or therewith usually occupied or enjoyed and the reversion and remainders rents issues and profitts of the premises and every part and parcell thereof and all the estate right title interest use property claim and demand whatsoever both in law and equity of him the said Walter Reeve of in to and out of the said forty nine acres and one rood of land and premises and every part and parcell thereof and all Deeds evidences and writings or true copies of the same touching the premises only To Have and To Hold the said forty nine acres and one rood of land as is above bounded and Described and all singular other the premises hereby granted and conveyed or meant mentioned and intends so to be sold with either and every of their appurtenances unto the said Thomas Atkinson Junr his heirs and assigns forever. To the only proper use and behoof of him the said Thomas Atkinson Junr his heirs and assigns forevermore and the said Walter Reeve for himself his heirs executors and administrators and for every of them Doth covenant and grant to and with the said Thomas Atkinson Jur his heirs and assigns by these presents in manner following That is to say that the said Walter Reeve at the time of the ensealing and delivery of these presents is and Standeth lawfully seized in the aforementioned forty nine acres and one rood of land and premises and hath in himself good full power and absolute authority to grant and convey the same and every part thereof with the appurtenances unto the said Thomas Atkinson Junr his heirs & assigns against him the said Walter Reeve and his heirs and against all and every other persons or persons claiming or to claim by from or under him or them or by from or under any other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever Defend by these presents And that the said Walter Reeve shall and will from time to time and at all times hereafter at the reasonable request and at the proper cost and charges in the law of him the said Thomas Atkinson Junr his heirs and assigns make do acknowledge execute and perform or cause so to be done all and every such further and other lawful and reasonable acts matters and things requisite and necessary for the further and more assuring suremaking and conveying of the premises and every part thereof with the appurtenances unto the said Thomas Atkinsons Junr his heirs and assigns as by the said Thomas Atkinson Junr or his or their council learned in the law shall be reasonably devised advised or required In witness whereof the said Walter Reeve hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written 1748.

Be It Remembered that on the Fifteenth Day of March Annoque Domini 1750/51. Personally appeared before me under written one of the Judges of the Court for holding of Pleas for the County of Burlington Henry Paxson one of the within subscribed Witnesses and on his Solemn Affirmation Declared that he saw Walter Reeve the within Granted sign seal and Deliver the within Indenture unto Thomas Atkinson Junior as his act and Deed for the use therein mentioned
