This Indenture made this twenty sixth day of May in the year of our Lord Christ One Thousand seven hundred & fifty seven between Joseph Reeves & Sarah his wife of the County of Prince George of the one part & Richard Jones Junr of the County of Amelia of the other part, Witnesseth that the sd Joseph Reeves & Sarah his for divers Good causes and considerations him thereunto moving but more especially for and in consideration of two hundred & fifty pounds current money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the sd Richard Jones the receipt whereof they Do hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed & confirmed & by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien enfeoff & confirm unto the sd Richard Jones Junr his heirs & assigns forever a certain plantation & tract of land situate lying & being on the lower side of the Little Creek of Creek in Amelia County containing three hundred acres & granted to the said Reeves by Patent bearing Date the twenty third day of March one thousand seven hundred & fifty three and bounded as follows beginning when w point thence North twenty six degrees west two hundred & fifty nine poles to a corner between several trees choped Inwards thence east twenty six Degrees Degrees North one hundred & sixty eight poles to a corner between several trees choped (?) thence south Twenty six Degrees East two hundred & fifty nine poles to a corner between several trees choped (?) thence west six Degrees south one hundred of sixty eight poles to the beginning. Together with all the houses orchards woods ways water & water courses & the reversion & reversions remainder & remainders thereof together with all the Estate Issues Profits emoluments & advantages to the same belonging or in any wiise appertaining. To have & to hold the above Granted premises with all & every its appurtenances unto the said Richard Jones Junr his heirs & assigns forever & the sd Joseph Reeves doth for himself his heirs executors & administrators Covenant & agree with the said Richard Jones his heirs & assigns in the anner & form following That is to say that he the sd Joseph Reeves at the time of sealing & Delivery of these presents is & stands lawfully seixed of in and to the premises & every part & parcel thereof as good sure perfect & indefeasable estate in fee simple & that he hath a good right full power & lawfull authority to bargain sell & convey ye same as by these presents he hath Done & that he the said Richard Jones his heirs & assigns shall forever hereafter hold use occupy possess and enjoy the above granted premises with all and every its appurtenances without the least suit interuption or (blank) of the sd Joseph Reeves his heirs and assigns and of all persons whatsoever and moreover that he the said Joseph Reeves his heirs executors and administrators the above granted premises with all & every the appurtenances against the claim challenge and demand of him the sd Joseph Reeves & Sarah his wife their heirs & assigns and of all other persons whatsoever unto the said Richard Jones his heirs & assigns shall & will warrant & forever Defend in witness whereof the partys have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the Day & year first above written.Signed Sealed & Delivered }Joseph (his R mark) Reeves @

Memorandum
This twenty sixth day of May in the year of our Lord Christ One thousand seven hundred & fifty (?) livery & seizen of the within mentioned premises was peaceably & quietly given by the within Joseph Reeves unto the said Richard Jones according to the form & affect of the within Deed
