This Indenture made this sixteenth day of February in the thirty second year of the reign of our sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King & Defender of the faith &c and in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and fifty nine Between Richard Reives Senior of the parish of Albemarle in the County of Sussex of the one part and Richard Reives junior of the parish and county aforesaid Witnesseth that the said Richard Reives senior for and in consideration of the sum of sixty pounds currt money of Virginia to him in hand paid by Richard Reives junr the receipt whereof the said Richard Reives Senior doth hereby acknowledge he the saidRichard Reives Senr hath Granted Bargained Sold Aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said Richard Reieves junior his heirs and assigns forever all that (seal?) tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the parish and county aforesaid on the south side of nottoway river and bounded as followeth to wit Beginning at an elm upon William Eldridges thence up the said Eldridges line to a large pine thence by a line of marked trees to William Pettway's line thence down the Pettways line to the flat swamp thence down the run of the said swamp to the tree begun at to include one hundred and eighty five acres more or less together with all the houses gardens orchards and stables and also all the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents and issues and (?) of all and singular the said premises and every part and parcel thereof and also all the estate right title interest claim and demand whatsoever of them the said Richard Reives of in and to the said premises and of in and to every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land and singular other the premises hereby granted bargained and sold and every part and parcel thereof with their and every of their appurtenances the said Richard Reieves his heirs and assigns forever to the only use and behoof of the said Richard Reives his heirs and assigns forevermore and the said Richard Reives Senr his heirs the said tenements tract pieces or parcel of Land and premises above mentioned with the appurtenances to the said Richard Reieves junior his heirs and assigns against him the said Richard Reieves Senr his heirs and all other persons shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In witness whereof the said Richard Reives hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written.
