Christopher Rives and (Daughter) Elizabeth his wife, and for their preferment in the World I have and do by these presents for me and my heirs, give confirm & deliver unto them the said Christopher Rives & Elizabeth his wife, and to their heirs and assigns forever, the two following negro slaves, that is to say Sarah a negro woman, and Doll a negro girl. To hold the said two negro slaves and their increase unto them the said Christopher Rives and Elizabeth his wife their heirs and assigns forever. And the said John Mason the said two negro slaves and their increase herein before named unto the said Christopher Rives and Elizabeth his wife their heirs and assigns, against me the said John Mason and my heirs and against all other persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. As witness my hand and seal this 17th day of April 1761.
