This Indenture made this ninth day of June one thousand seven hundred and sixty eight Between Isaac Reaves of the County of Lunenburg of the one part and Jonathan Pattison jr. of the same County of the other part Witnesseth that the sd Isaac Reaves for and consideration of the sum of sixty pounds current money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said Jonathan Pattison jr hath this present day bargained sold and delivered and by these presents doth bargain sell make over and confirm unto him the sd Jonathan Pattison jr or certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the aforesaid County of Lunenburg on Mahenin River, and Bounded as follows Viz, Beginning at a corner poplar on the said River thence to a survey belonging to the Orphans of Nicholas Hobson decd, thence along to Jno Hawkin's line along his near lines to a corner maple on Hawkins Creek down the Creek as it Meanders to a poplar on the west side crossing the Creek to a white oak on the East side thence a straight to the River & down the Rover to the beginning contg Two hundred acres more or less To have and to hold the above sold land & premises with all horses, orchards, gardens, particos, tree ways, water & water courses with all and every part and parcel thereunto belonging or in any way appertaining unto him the said Jonathan Pattison jr his heirs exrs admrs or assigns against him the said Isaac Reaves his heirs Exrs and Adms and the said Isaac Reaves for himself his heirs Exrs & adms do and will warrant and forever Defend the Title of the above sold land and premises unto him the said Jonathan Pattison jr his heirs Exrs adms or assigns against the claim or claims of any other person or persons whatever In witness whereof the sd Isaac Reaves hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal this day and year above writtenSigned Sealed & Delivered }Isaac Reeve (seal)
