This Indenture made the (blank) day of July in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred & seventy by and between Lewis Jinkins of Pittsylvania County of Virginia of the one part and Frederick Reaves of the said County & Colony of the other part Witnesseth that the said Lewis Jinkins for and in consideration of the sum of seventy pounds current money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said Fredrick Reaves of and before the ensealing and Delivering of these presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof and every part thereof doth clearley Aquit and Discharge the said Fredrick Reaves his heirs Eecutors and Admrs and every of them by these presents hath given Granted Aliened Bargained sold Released & confirmed and by these presents doth give Grant Alien Bargain sell & Release & Confirm unto the said Fredrick Reaves his heirs and assigns forever one tract or parcel of land containing four hundred acres more or less situate lying and being on Both sides pigg River in the said County and Colony aforesaid Bounded as followeth to wit Beginning at a mouth of Jacks Creek on Pigg River thence up the River to Thomas Potters line in the South side of River thence along his line to a corner red oak thence along new line on a ridge to a corner ash on the deviding line of the order it being part of the order that was formerly George Wallens thence north to a corner white oak thence east to Jacks Creek thence down the said Creek to the beginning with all and singular the appertenances thereunto belonging unto him the said Fredrick Reaves and his heirs to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Fredrick Reaves his heirs and assigns forever and the said Lewis Jinkins for himself his heirs executors & Admrs doth covenant and Grant to and with the said Fredrick Reaves that it shall and may be lawfull to and for the said Fredrick Reaves his heirs executors and Administrators from time to time and at all times forever hereafter peaceably and quietly to have hold occupy possess and enjoy the said Land and premises and the Right and Title of him the said Lewis Jenkins & his heirs without any lawfull let sute trouble molestation and interruption of him the said Lewis Jinkins his heirs executors Admrs or assigns or any of them or any other person or persons lawfully claiming or to clame in by from or under them or any of them the said Lewis Jinkins for himself and his heirs the said Land and premises as before included and exprest unto him the said Fredrick Reves and his heirs against him the said Lewis Jinkins and his heirs and all claiming or to clame in by from or under them or any of them shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In witness whereof the said Lewis Jinkins hath hereunto set his hand and affixt his seal the Day and date above mentioned.Day and date Above mentionedLewis (his x mark) Jinkins LS
