Ruffin Macnair of Orange, merchant, to George Reeves of same, one hundred pounds, 200 acres, on waters of New Hope, begin at a cor. White oak the beginning of the original tract from Granville to William Jackson 02 August 1760, N along the old line 125 p., E 256 p. cross the whole tract to the opposite line, S along the old line 125p. to a black jack the last mentioned cor. In the original deed, W 256 p. to first station; signed: Ralph Macnair; witness: James Reed, Wm. McCauley; proved 25 March 1772 by McCauley.
