This day came before me, a Justice of the peace for said county, Capt. Thomas Chiles, who deposeth & saith, That a civilain (sic civilian), Elijah Reves, who for some time lay sick & died at his house; did when in his proper senses profess & say it was his will & pleasure that the property which he died possessed of should remain & continue in the possession & at the disposal of his, the widow of the said Reves deceased, for the purpose of raising & supporting the children of the said deceased.
Given under my hand this 25th of February, 1781
