In the Name of God, Amen. January 29th 1782. I Mary Reeves of Southold in the County of Suffolk and Province of New York in America Spinster, being weak and sickly in Body but of Sound mind and Memory blessed be God, yet calling to mind the Mortality of my Body, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in the following manner,First of all I recommend my Soul to God that Gave it, and my Body to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors hereafter to be named and as touching my worldly Estate
(Imprimis) I give unto my Grandchild Mary Reeve all the cloathes that have been made for her since she has been with me,
Secondly I give unto my son Ebenzer Reeve my negro man named Reuben.
Thirdly I give unto my Son in Law John Gardiner and to my Son in Law William Corwin and his wife all the remainder of my estate, consisting in Money Goods and Chattles, to be equally divided between them according to the best Discretion of my Executors; and my will is that my Executors take proper care of for the suitable maintenance of my two Old Negroes Titus and Jude; and keep a sufficiency of my Estate in their hands for that purpose and I constitute and appoint my beloved Friends Deacon Thomas Reeve and Daniel Osborn my Executors to Execute this my last Will and Testament Ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament
Signed Sealed and declared by the said Mary Reeve as her last Will and Testament in presence of us the subscribers

Suffolk County } Be it Remembered that on the Eleventh day of June one thousand seven hundred and eighty two personally came and appeared before me Nathan Woodhull Junr Surrogate of said County, Mary Gardiner and James Reeve Esqr of the County abovesaid Spinster and yeoman, and being duly sworn on their oaths, declared that they did see Mary Reeve sign and seal this within written Instrument, purporting to be the will of the said Mary Reeve, bearing date January 29th 1782, and heard her publish and declare the same as and for her last Will and Testament; that at the time thereof she the said Mary Reeve was of sound disposing mind and memory to the best of the knowledge and Belief of them the Deponents, and that their names subscribed as witnesses to the said Will are of their Respective proper hands writing which they subscribed as witnesses to the said Will in the Testators presence and that they the Deponents saw Harmony Reeve, the other witness to the said Will subscribe her name as a witness to the said Will in the Testators presence.
