Transcript

In the name of God amen I Nathaniel Rives of the District of Camden County of Chester being of present & perfect mind memory blessed be God I do this Eighteenth day of October in the year of our Lord Christ One thousand seven & eighty nine do make & Publish this my last Will & Testament in manner as following Viz -
Item I give two Negroes called Tom & Ceally to my Daughter Sukey Robinson Rives
Item I give three Negroes called Bob & Prince & Hannah to my son Urvin Rieves.
Item I give to the Child my wife is now big with my Negro woman called Sal and her increase
Item I give a Negro Woman called Doll & her increase to my beloved wife Sarah Rieves to her own disposal
Item I give to my wife three Negroes Named David, Roger & Ginna, during my widow(?) and then I give David to the Child that is not Born and if twins the one I give to is Roger &b Ginna if but one child I desire Roger & Ginna to be equally Divided between my three Children
Item my desire is that my Estate may not be appraised
Item all the Rest after my Just debts to be paid then an equal Division Between my three Children & I do hereby appoint Benjamin Rieves and William McDaniel Executors of this my Last Will and Testament
