This Indenture made this 24th day of April One Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety & in the fifteenth year of the Independence of America Between Benjamin Rives yeoman of the State of South Carolina of the one part & Wilson Henderson Planter of the other Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of Five pounds in hand paid by the said Wilson Henderson to the said Benjamin Rives the receipt whereof is hereby fully acknowledged the said Benjamin Rives hath Given Granted Bargained & Sold by these presents doth Give Grant Bargain & Sell unto the said Wilson Henderson his Heirs & Assigns a certain Piece or tract of land containing one hundred acres it being the south of said Rives land Bound on the North by Matthew Patterns land and all the other sides by Swints land & on the west side of the Cattawba River. To have & To hold the above said tract of one hundred acres of land with the appurtenances & all Rights Priviledges and Improvements to the in anywise belonging to him the said Wilson Henderson ever. And said Benjamin Rives for his heirs & assigns doth hereby covenant & agree that with the said Wilson Henderson & his Heirs & assigns shall & forever hereafter Peaceably & quietly have hold occupy possess & enjoy the foresaid Granted land & premises without the least molestation of any Person or Persons whatsoever & free & clear from all manner of Incumberances whatever and said Benjamin Rives doth oblige himself & his heirs assigns & warrant and defend the foresaid Granted Tract of land & Premises unto the said Wilson Henderson his heirs and assigns forever against the claims of all persons whatever.In witness whereof the parties have hereunto set hand & seals the day of year above written.
