ROBERT BROOKE Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of of (sic) Virginia To all To Whom these Presents shall come Greeting KNOW YE that by Virtue of a Land Office Treasury Warrant Number thirteen thousand one hundred and fifty issued the third day of August one thousand seven hundred and eighty two, there is Granted by the said Commonwealth unto George Reeves a certain Tract or parcel of Land containing four hundred Acres by Survey bearing the twenty fifth day of April one thousand seven hundred and ninety one, lying and being in the County of Wythe on the waters of Peach bottom Creek a a (sic) branch of New River and bounded as followeth towit - Beginning at a large white oak and runneth South fourteen degrees East fifty poles to a white oak South fifty six degrees East one hundred and sixty two poles to a black oak, North eighty six degrees East fifty six poles to a white oak by the branch South fifteen degrees East forty poles to a small black oak, South thirty six degrees East sixty two poles to a large white oak, and red oak, South forty degrees West one hundred and seventy six poles to a white oak North forty six degrees West four hundred and five poles thence North sixty five degrees East one hundred and forty five poles to the beginning With its Appurtenances to have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of Land with its Appurtenances to the said George Reeves and his Heirs forever IN WITNESS whereof the said Robert Brooke Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto set his Hand and caused the lesser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be Affixed at Richmond on the thirtieth day of July in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety five and of the Commonwealth the twentieth.
