Transcript

This Indenture made & agreed to this thirty fourth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & ninety-five & in the twentieth year of the Independence of the united States of America between Sarah Reeves of the State of Georgia and County of Columbia, of the one part & John Paulk of the County of Warren & State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Sarah Reeves for & in consideration of the sum of (?) pounds good & lawful money in hand paid her by the said John Paulk before the sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Sarah Reeves doth hereby acknowledge hath given & granted, bargained & sold & by these presents doth give grant, bargain & sell unto the said John Paulk, a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in the said County of Columbia & State aforesaid containing one hundred & fifty acres be the same more or less, it being part of a tract of two hundred acres granted to the said Sarah Reeves the fourteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & Eighty-Eight for the County of Richmond but now Columbia bounded at the time of survey to the south west by Mary Mathews land & on all other sides by lands vacant it being part lying on the East side of the big branch called Reeves branch. Together with all & Singular the houses out houses, Gardens, ways, waters, & water courses profits & commodities thereunto belonging or in anywise appurtaining rents & issues unto him the said John Paulk his heirs & assigns forever, with all the rights, title, claim & demand of her the said Sarah Reeves her heirs Executors, administrators &tc of in or to the said land & premises & every part & parcel thereof To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of and containing one hundred & fifty acres be the same more or less with the appurtenances unto him the said John Paulk his heirs & assigns forever, and the said Sarah Reeves for herself and her heirs the said tract of land & premises against herself & her heirs & against all other persons whatsoever unto him the said John Paulk & assigns forever shall & will warrant & forever defend by these presents In witness whereof the said Sarah Reeves hath hereunto set her hand affixed her seal the day & year first above written
