This Indenture made this eighth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & ninety six & of American Independence the Twentieth, Between Margaret Beasley George Beasley & Mary Beasley his wife & Adam Beasley all of Fairfield County, of the one part and William Rives of Chester County & South Carolina of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Margaret Beasley George Beasley Mary his wife & Adam Beasley, for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred pounds to them in hand well & truly paid by the said William Rives of and before the sealing of & delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Margaret Beasley George Beasley Mary his wife & Adam Beasley doth hereby acknowledge & from every part & parcel thereif doth acquit & Discharge the said William Rives his heirs and assigns and for divers other good causes & considerations us hereunto moving hath Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed & Confirmed & by these presents do Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff & Confirm unto the said William Rives his heirs & assigns forever all that plantation or tract of land containing two hundred acres on the waters of Fishing Creek in Cravel County bounding one No Wt and So Wt by John McFadden's Land and on all other sides by vacant land when surveyed Beginning at a Stake running South 14 E 60 67 to a take, thence S 76 W 44 72 to a white oak, thence N 14 W 22 60 to hickory sapling thence N 76 E 8 60 to a stake thence N14 W 38 to a stake, thence N 76 E 26 12 to the beginning corner Granted by his excellency William Bull Esquire & dated the fifteenth day of July 1768. Also one tract or plantation containing one hundred & fifty acres of Land in Craven County bounding No Wt one vacant Land & part on Jacob Beasley's land, North East on James Neely's land and on vacant Land South East on John Swings land SW and SE on Robert Martin's Land & on all other sides by vacant Land when surveyed, Beginning at a stake N14 W39 to a stake, thence S 56 E40 50 to a stake, thence S30 E 27.40 to a stake, thence E 60 W12.50 to a stake, thence N40 W11.15 to a stake, thence S51 W70 to the beginning courner. Granted to Jacob Beasley by his Excellency William Bull & dated the fifteenth day of June One thousand seven hundred & seventy both tracts granted to Jacob Beasley and at his death invested in the above mentioned Margaret Beasley George Beasley and Adam Beasley party to these presents & by them conveyed by these presents to the said William Rives, Together with all & singular the woods traces waters water courses profits profits commodities appurtenances and hereditaments whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining to the said tract of two hundred acres also the said tract of one hundred and fifty acres & all the Estate Rights title Interest claim & demand whatsoever both in law and Equity of the said Margaret Beasley George Beasley and Mary his wife & Adam Beasley of in and to the said two hundred acres of Land, also the said one hundred & fifty acres of land & all & singular the premises above mentioned with the appurtenances to the said William Rives his heirs & assigns forever. And lastly the said Margaret Beasley George Beasley & Mary his wife & Adam Beasley & their heirs the said two hundred acres of land also the said tract of one hundred & fifty acres of land & all & singular the premises above mentioned and Granted with their appurtenances unto the said William Rives & his heirs against all persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend. In witness whereof the said Margaret Beasley George Beasley & Mary Beasley & Adam Beasley have hereunto set their hands & seals the day & year first above written.
