This Indenture made this Twenty fifth day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven Hundred and ninety eight, between
William Reves, Senr of the County of Wake and State of North Carolina of the one part, and Charles Reves his son of the County and State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that the said William Reves for the consideration of the Natural Love and affection he has for the said Charles Reves besides other good causes him thereunto moving, Hath given granted released and confirmed & by these presents doth absolutely give grant release and confirm unto the said Charles Reves his Heirs & assigns forever, a certain Tract or parcel of land Situate lying and being in Wake County on the South Side of Elobeys Creek, Bounded as follows, Beginning at a Willow on his Spring Branch his Brother Williams corner running thence North twenty two pole to a water Oak at Holloway corner, thence with his line South fifty four degrees West one Hundred & twenty pole to a hickory now John Shearings Corner, thence with his line South three hundred pole to a post oak in a line formerly Hines’s thence with said line North fifty two degrees East one Hundred & twenty four pole to a small red oak Samuel Peakes corner, thence with his lines North forty four poles to a red oak thence No. twenty five degrees East one hundred & twenty eight pole to a persimmon Tree his Said Brothers corner on the aforesaid Branch near an old field, thence down the various courses of said Branch to the Beginning Containing Two Hundred & twenty Acres be the same more or less it being part of two Tracts of Land one tract granted from the State aforesaid the other Deeded from John Shearing. recourses being had to the deed & Grant will more fully appear, with all and singular the rights Hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the said Grant Lands to the only proper use and benefit of him the said Charles Reves his son, his Heirs and assigns forever, and the said William Reves, Senr doth covenant and agree for himself his Heirs Exects & Administrators that the said Charles Reves his Heirs Executors Administrators and assigns may forever hereafter have hold use occupy possess & enjoy the said given Lands without any interruption whatsoever and he further agrees that he will warrant and defend the same against the claim or claims of any persons whatever. In Witness whereof he hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his Seal the day & year above written.
