Transcript

This Indenture made and agreed to this twelfth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety-nine between John Reeve of the County of Columbia in the state of Georgia of the one part and William Drane of the State and County aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Reeve for and in consideration of the sum of fifty Dollars to him in hand paid the said John Reeve before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said John Reeve doth hereby acknowledge himself satisfied and paid hath given granted bargained and sold enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant Bargain and sell alien release and confirm unto him the said William Drane his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract of land containing thirty acres more or less in the county of Columbia and State aforesaid lying and being in the waters of the great Kioka Creek joining land of aforesaid William Drane Beginning at a White Oak stake on the aforesaid Dranes Land where the aforesaid Reeves land intersects with the aforesaid Dranes land on the West side of the branch running from thence South thirty degrees Weast to an elm corner on the aforesaid Dranes land and running from thence North Sixty degrees east to where the said Reeves land comes on the aforesaid Dranes land and running from thence South twenty five degrees East to a pine corner on Mr. Wards Land running from thence South twenty degrees West with the said Wards Land to where the said line entersects with the branch and from thence running with the branch to the place of Beginning it being part of a tract of land grant to Phillip Upton bearing date the fourth day of Jan in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty eight Reference thereunto being had may more fully appear together with all and singular the profits commodities hereditiments and thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to have and to hold the above mentioned tract of land and premises with all and every of its appertenances unto him the said William Drane his heirs and assigns forever together with all houses out houses edifices buildings gardens orchards woods underwoods ways waters and water courses also all and singular the profits rents and services hereditaments and appertainances to the aforesaid land and premises belonging or in any wise appertaining and the Reversion and Reversions remainder and remains Rents and issues and interests property claim and demand of in and to the same belonging and every part and parcel thereof and the said John Reeve for himself his heirs executors or administrators and for all and every of them doth promise grant and agree to and with all and every of them that the aforesaid land and premises with all and every of it, appurtenances is now in the actual possession of him the said William Drane and by virtue of these presents is to become the actual Estate and inheritance of him the said William Drane his heirs and assigns forever and that the same is freely and clearly exonerated acquited and discharged of and from all manner of former bargains sales gifts grants or any incumbrances whatsoever. In witness whereof the said John Reeve hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written
