George Reves to Joseph Doughton a Deed 100 acresThis Indenture made this 26th Day of January Ano Domini one thousand Eight Hundred and one Between George Reves of the County of Grayson and State of Virginia & Joseph Doughton of the County of Ashe and State of North Carolina witnesseth that he the said George Reves for an in consideration of the sum of one Hundred pounts to him in hand paid by the said Joseph Doughton the Receipt whereof the said George doth hereby acknowledge and himself therewith fully satisfied and paid hath granted bargained sold conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth fully clearly and absolutely grant Bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said Joseph his Heirs and assigns forever a tract of Land containing one Hundred acres lying and being in the County of Ashe Begining at a white oak in John Tolivers line Runing South sixty poles to a Spanish oak then South (indecipherable) East thirty seven polls to a conditional line to a Spanish oak then East sixty polls to a Stake then South seventy six polls to a white oak then East twenty Eight polls then North one Hundred and twenty six polls then west one Hundred and five polls to the first Station with Every Right title and privilege and Emolument to the said land belonging or in any wise appertaining and he the said George doth bind himself his Heirs Executors & administrators well and truly to warrant and forever Defend the aforesaid premises with all the appertainances (sic) to him the said Joseph his Heirs and assigns free and clear of all incumberances (sic) and claims whatsoever in witness whereof the said George hath Signed sealed and Delivered in presents of
