This Indenture Made this 13th day of May one thousand Eight hundred & one Between Malechi Reeves (sic Malachi) of the County of Guilford in the State of North Carolina of the one part & Jesse Reeves of the County & State afsd. of the other part witnesseth that for & in Consideration of the Sum of fifty pounds Current Money of the State afsd. to the Sd. Malichi Reeves by the Sd. Jesse Reeves in Hand paid Before the Execution hereof the Receipt whareof (sic) the Sd. Malichi Reeves (sic Malachi) doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof Exonerate and Acquit the Sd. Jesse Reeves his Heirs Extrs Administrators and Assigns he the Said Malichi Reves (sic Malachi Reeves) By these presents hath Granted Bargained Sold Assigned enfeofed Released Confirmed & Set Over unto the Sd. Jesse Reeves his Heirs & Assigns all that piece Parcel or Tract of Land Belonging to the Sd. Malichi Reeves Lying Situate & Being in the County afsd. Beginning at Jesse Reeves Corner post oak Runing thence South one hundred & Sixty four poles to a Maple on the Bank of Marrs (sic) Fork thence down the Meanders of the Sd. Creek to a Maple on Campbells line thence North one hundred & Sixty four poles to Campbels Corner on Richard Bortons line Running thence west along Richard Burton’s line to the first Station Containing in the whole fifty five Acres of Land be it More or Less Together with the Improvements Reversions Remainders Rents Issues & Profits & also all the Estate Right Title Interest Property Claim & Demand whatsoever of in & to the Sd. piece parcel or Tract of Land & premises & every part thereof with the appurtenances thereunto appertaining To have & to hold to the Sd. Jesse Reeves his Heirs and assigns for ever To his & their only proper use Benefit & Behoof for ever & the Sd. Malichi Reeves doth hereby Grant that he will for himself his Heirs & every of them warrant & for ever Defend the above Bargained Premises Unto the Sd. Jesse Reeves his Heirs & assigns for ever against him the Sd. Malichi Reeves & his Heirs & all & every other person Claiming by from or under him or any of them In Witness whereof (sic) the Sd.
