Know all men by these presents that I William J. King of Beaufort District and State aforesaid for and in consideration of two hundred and fifty to me paid by John Reeves have bargained sold and Released and by these presents do bargain Sell and Release unto the said John Reeves a certain tract of land containing two hundred and forty acres Surveyed for said John the tenth Day of January 1785 Situated in the District of Ninety Six on Bear Creek bounded on all sides by vacant land when surveyed and have such forms marks boundings and butings as a platt of the same Represents to which I bind myself my heirs Executors Administrators and assigns to warrant and Defend the same against myself on the Claim of any other person or person whatsoever to him the said John Reeves his heirs Executors Administrators and assigns forever in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Eighteenth Day of November 1801.
