Transcript

Know all men by these presents that I Thomas Fletcher of the County of Columbia and State of Georgia have bargained and sold to John Reive of the County and State aforesaid one negro woman by the name of Fan which is now in said Reeves possession for the sum of four hundred dollars in hand paid the said Fletcher the receipt is hereby acknowledged for which the said Thomas Fletcher do warrant and forever defend the property of said negro Fan against the lawfull claim or claims of all persons whatsoever. Witness my hand and seal this 14 day of December 1802
