The State of South Carolina
Know all men by these presents that I William Adams of the District of Chester and State aforesaid do for and in consideration of the sum of ninety four dollars to me in hand paid by William Reeves of the District and State aforesaid Have Granted, Bargained sold and Released, and by these presents do Grant Bargain, Sell and Release unto the sd William Rives all that plantation or tract of Land containing one Hundred and Twenty Eight acres situate in the sd District of Chester in the State aforesd one Neels Creek Waters of Fishing Creek say beginning at a stake on land Granted to Stephen Gaston Thence S W to a Spanish Oak corner thence to a Hickory Corner on Land Granted to Robert thence NE by William Rives land and James Neely's land to a stake corner on Casper Slicker's Land thence NE one Casper Slickers line to a spanish oak as appears by the plat and was Granted to William Adams the seventh day of September AD one thousand eight hundred and one Together with all and singular the Rights members Hereditaments and Appurtenances to the sd premises Belonging or in any wise precedent or appurtaining. To Have and Hold all and singular the premises before mentioned unto the sd William Rives his Heirs and assigns forever And I do hereby bind myself and my heirs executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the sd premises unto the sd William Rives his heirs and assigns against myself and my heirs, lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. Witness my hand and seal this third day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and three and in the seventy eighth of the Independence of the United States of America

I Joseph Gaston one of the Justices of the Quorum for sd District do hereby certify that Unity Adams the wife of the within named William Adams did this Day appear Before me, and upon being privately and separately examined by me did declare that she did freely voluntarily and without any compulsion dread or fear of any person persons whomsoever Renounce, Release, and forever Relinquish unto the within named William Reeves his Heirs and assigns all her interest and estate and also all her right and claim of Dower of in or to all and singular the premises within mentioned released.
Given under my hand and seal this 11th day of October AD 1803

Benjamin Booth appeared and declared on oath that he was present and seen William Adams sign seal and deliver the within deed unto the within named William Reves for the purposes therein contained and that he saw Abram Ferguson and Frances Ferguson subscribe as witnesses with Himself.
