Know all men by these presents that I John Fleming of the District of Spartanburgh and State aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of thirty five dollars paid me by Benjamin Reeves of the District of Chester and State aforesaid I have Granted bargained sold and released and by these presents do Grant Bargain sell and release unto the said Benjamin Reeves one tract of land thirty acres more or less adjoining sd Reeves and John Carters Land on the west side of the Catawba River Chester District originally Granted to James Lands thence to John Fleming Senior thence to John Fleming Junior by a Deed of Gift bearing date the Eleventh of November one thousand seven hundred and ninety three.
Together with all and Singular the Rights members Hereditaments and appurtenances to the sd premises belonging or in wise incident or appertaining to have and to hold all and singular the premises before mentioned unto the sd Reeves his heirs and assigns for ever and I do hereby bind myself my heirs executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the sd premises unto the sd Benjamin Reeves as aforesaid his heirs and assigns against myself my heirs and all other persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof as witness my hand and seal this fifth day of October Eighteen hundred and three

Chester District  } Personally appeared before me Jas Crawford one of the Jus of the peace of sd District Jesse Wels and made oath that he saw John Flemming sign seal and deliver the above conveyance for the fees and purpose therein mentioned and that he with Andrew B Fleming in the presence of each other wintessed the due execution thereof. Sworn to Before this 2d of November 1803
