This Indenture made this ninth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four Between Nicholas Leeke of the City of Baltimore in the state of Maryland of the one part and Elizabeth Reeves and widow of Anthony Reeves deceased and John Reeves Alexander Reeves and Anthony Reeves children of the said Anthony Reeves of the other part Where as the said Anthony Reeves late of Baltimore County deceased did in his life time contract for and purchase of the said Nicholas Leeke for the price or sum of four hundred and fifty dollars two hundred and twenty five of which dollars were paid at the time of the said Leeke's executing a penal Bond a piece or parcel of ground situate in that part of the said city of Baltimore called Fells Point contained within the following metes bounds courses and distances Beginning for the same on the west side of Ann Street at the distance of one hundred and sixty feet north from the north West corner of the intersection of Alice Anna and Ann streets and running thence on Ann street twenty one feet to the northward thence west parallel with Aliceann street one hundred and ten feet thence south parallel with Ann street forty one feet thence east parallel with alice Anna street thirty feet thence north parallel with Ann Street twenty feet and thence east with a straight line eighty feet to the Beginning It was agreed also that there should be an alley three feel wide opening into Ann street and extending backward in a west direction of the same width the distance of fifty feet of which the northermost part of the said premisses is to find one foot six inches and the said Nicholas Leekes ground adjoining is to find the other one foot six unches which alley is for the use in common of the said Anthony Reeves and his assigns and the said Nicholas Leeke and his assigns never to be shut up or otherwise obstructed but the said Anthony Reeves and his assigns were allowed to build over the said three feet alley at the heighth of ten feet fro the level of Ann street the same to be subject to one penny yearly ground rent if demanded Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Nicholas Leeke administrator of the goods and chattels of the said Anthony Reeves deceased for and in cosideration of his retaining in his hands of money of the said Anthony Reeves the sum of two hundred and twenty five dollars which sum the said Leeke hath credited himself with on settlement with the orphan's court of Baltimore County hath bargained and sold assigned transfered and set over and by these presents doth bargain and sell assign transfer and set over unto them the said Elizabeth Reeves John Reeves Alexander Reeves and Anthony Reeves their executors administrators and assigns all and singular the above described piece or parcel of ground and premises with the appurtenances To have and to Hold the said piece or parcel of ground and premises with the appurtenances unto the said Elizabeth Reeves for and during her natural life if she shall so long continue a widow or if after marriage she gives security ot to waste or destroy the same as directed in said Anthony Reeve's will proved and recorded in Baltimore County's orphan's court and after the death of the said Elizabeth Reeves or on her marriage if she does not give the security required by the said Orphan's court To Have and to Hold the said piece por arcel of ground and premises with the appurtenances unto them the said John Reeves Alexander Reeves and Anthony Reeves their executors adminsitrators and assign as tenants in common for and during all the rest residue and remainder of the term of ninety nine years which are yet to come and unexpired of the lease granted by Thomas Johnson and others and recorded in Baltimore County Court among the land records Together with the benefit of renewments of the same from time to time forever subject nevertheless to the payment of the yearly rent or sum of one penny ground rent. In witness whereof the said Nicholas Leake hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written.

Baltimore County On the ninth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four personally apppeared before us the subscribers two Justices of the peace for said county the within named Nicholas Leeke and acknowledged the within Indenture of assignment or instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the land and premises therein mentioned to be the right and estate of the also therein mentioned Elizabeth Reeves John Reeves Alexander Reeves and Anthony Reeves their executors administrators and assign according to the true intent and meaning thereof
