Know all men by these Presents that I George Rives of the County of Franklin and State of Virginia, do empower Burwell Rives to sell a sertain Track of land lying in the County of Franklin on the waters of Glade Creek containing 1861 acres, and to make a good and lawfull title in. This Letter of Attorney from George Rives to Burwell Rives was proved by the oath of Joseph Rives and Patsey Lumsden, two of the witnesses hereto, and it appearing from the oath of the said Joseph Rives, that he saw William Whitworth (whi is absent from this state) sign his name, as a witness to this Letter of attorney, It is ordered that the same be recorded.
