1810 Deed - John Reeves to Jesse Brazil

This Indenture Made this Sixteenth day of January in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and Ten Between John Reeves of the County of Wilkes and State of Georgia of the one part and Jesse Brazil of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the Said John Reeves for and in Consideration of the sum of five hundred Dollars to him in hand paid by the aid Jesse Brazil all that tract or parcel of Land Situate lying and being in the County and State aforesaid on the dry fork of Long Creek Containing one hundred & twenty Acres More or less including all that tract or parcel of land which Jeremiah Reeves Dec’d Willed to Jas. Reeves and Conveyed of Jas. to sd John Reeves lying at an old pine Corner on the North boundary Line thence running _ South West Course to a Chesnut tree in the plantation thence through the plantation to an old Still on the South Side of the plantation Keeping the Same direction to an old path thence down the Said path to the beverdam being a line designated by the Will of Jeremiah Reeves dec’d thence down the beverdam to the dry fork thence down the dry fork to Olivers old line thence along the old line between Givens (?) and Holmes Survey to the beginning To had and to hold the Said Tract of Land together with all and Singular the rights Members && appurtenances thereof whatsoever unto the said Jesse Brazil his heirs and assigns to his & their own proper use & behoof forever In Witness whereof the sd John Reeves hath hereunto Set his hand and affixed his Seal the day & year first above written.

Personally Came before Me Malachi Reeves and made Oath that he Saw the within John Reeves duly Sign Seal and Deliver the within Deed or bargain & Sell unto Jesse Brazille and as Such to be Recorded and that he is a Subscribing Witness thereto and also Saw the within named Milly Owen Sign her Name thereto Sworn to before Me this 8th Febr’y 1812
