Transcript

In the Name of God Amen, I Isaac T. Reeves, being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and blessed be Almighty God for the same do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and in form following that is to say.
First. I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Joanna all my property that I now posses so long as she remains my widow and further my Will is that my son Isaac shall have the equal half of my landed property to him his heirs and assigns forever that I purchased of James Smith under the direction of his mother if in case he should agree to live upon the place with his mother untill my youngest child shall become of lawfull age and see that they have education and trades agreable to her mind but in case he doth not so incline to live with his said mother and bring up and assist in the maintainance of these children agreable to her wishes, that then he the said Isaac shall have only and equal share after his mothers use in it as above described & further my will is that my Real & personally property be divided equally between my wife & all my children and further my will is that after my decease my Wife and Son Isaac shall pay all my Just debts and demands and that my Executors whom I do hereby impower whom I shall hereafter name to dispose of such certain out land as are not comprised in the Farm that I bought of James Smith if my wife at that day & the other executors deame it best to dispose of any of my Real Estate wither in this County or Elsewhere to the use of my family & estate or at any time between that day and the present & I do hereby constitute and appoint my well beloved wife Joanna my trusty friend James Hendrickson and my three oldest sons Isaac Reeves Henry T. Reeves Samuel Reeves Executors to carry into affect this my last Will & Testament made this 15 day of June in the year of Lord Eighteen hundred and eleven.

Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Isaac T. Reeves to be his last Will & Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses in the presents of the Testator.

N.B. the words to him his heirs and assigns forever was interlined between the fifth & six line & the words Isaac Reeves, Henry T. Reeves, Samuel Reeves was Interlined between the nineteenth & twentieth line before the ensealing & durring of these presents.

QUEENS COUNTY: SS: Be it Remembered that on the eighteenth day of Seper Eighteen Hundred & Eleven personally appeared before me Joseph Robinson, Surrogate of the aforesaid county, Abraham Burtis & Mary Hendrickson, of Hempstead in the said County & they being duly sworn on their oaths declared that they did see Isaac T. Reeves sign & seal the within written instrument purporting to be the Will of the said Isaac T. Reeves bearing date the 15 day of June, Eighteen hundred & eleven & heard him publish & declare the same as and for his last Will & Testament; that at the time thereof he the said Isaac T. Reeves was of sound disposing mind & memory to the best of the knowledge & belief of them the deponents & that Isaac Reeve with them the deponents subscribed the said Will as Witnesses thereto in the Testators presence.
