Georgia This Indenture made this twenty fifth day of February one thousand Eight hundred and fourteen between Nancy Cox Robert Cox & Matthis Huff all of the County of Wilkes and State aforesaid of the one part and Bennett Reeves of the Same County and State aforesaid (stricken in original) of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the Sum of one hundred and fifty five dollars to us in hand paid by the Said Bennett at and before the Sealing and delivering of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged have Granted Bargined (sic) and sold and by these presents doth grant bargin (sic) Sell and confirm unto the said Barnett (sic Bennett) all that Tract or parcel of Land Situate Lying and Being in the County of Wilkes on the waters of Newford Creek containing Seventy five Acres more or Less being in two Separate Tracts adjoining each other the first Containing fifty Acres beginning at a corner white oak of Richard Beadley’s decd, Running South Sixty Seven degrees West two Chains thence South twenty three East fifty chains thence North Sixty Seven East ten Chains to a corner white oak on Bennett Reeves Line thence North twenty the West fifty Chains to the Beginning corner white Oak it being a part of that tract of Land whereon Richard Beasley decease.d Lived the other tract containing twenty Six Acres and forming Wylie Pope’s Land and other above described fifty acres beginning at a corner Post oak Eleven Chains to a Red oak thence north twenty four East thirty Six Chains Eighty Links to a Hickory thence North Sixty East four chains & fifty links to a pine thence along betsy Binns Line to the beginning Corner post oak corner together with all and Singular the Rights members and appurtenances thereof and every part thereof to have and to hold the Aforesaid described Tracts of Land and premises unto the said Bennet his heirs and assigns to the only benefit use and behoof of him the said Bennet in fee Simple forever & we the said Nancy Robert & Matthis our heirs and Assigns Shall and will forever warrant and defend the Said tracts of Land and premises unto him the Said Bennet against the Claim of any person or persons Whatsoever In Witness whereof we have hereunto Set our hands and Seals the day and year first within written
