This Indenture made this thirtieth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fourteen between Thorndick Chase and John Snyder both of the City of Baltimore in Baltimore County and State of Maryland Merchants of the one part and William Reeves of the city county and state aforesaid Master Mariner of the other part Whereas by Indenture bearing date the twenty fourth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eleven and made between the said William Reeves of the one part and the aforesaid Thorndick Chase and John Snyder of the other part it is Witnessed that the said William Reeves for the considerations therein expressed did grant bargain sell assign transfer and set over unto the said Thorndick Chase and John Snyder their executors administrators and assigns all that piece or parcel of ground situate and lying in that part of the City of Baltimore aforesaid called Fells Point and distinguished on a plat thereof by the number one hundred and sixty two which was and is contained within the description following that is to say Beginning for the same at the north east corner or intersection of Fleet Street and Starr Alley and running thence north bounding on Starr Alley sixty feet thence east parallel with Fleet Street twenty feet thence south parallel with Starr Alley to Fleet Street and thence west on Fleet Street to the Beginning Together with the appurtenances To Hold the same piece or parcel of ground and premises with the appurtenances unto the said Thorndick Chase and John Snyder their executors administrators and assigns thenceforth for and during all the rest residue and remainder of the term of years therein then to come and unexpired with the benefit of renewal of said term from time to time forever under and subject Nevertheless to the payment of the yearly rent of fifteen dollers to such person or persons as should or might be entitled to the receipt thereof which said Indenture contains a proviso or condition that if the said William Reeves his heirs executors or administrators should well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Thorndick Chase and John Snyder their executors administrators or assigns the sum of five hundred dollars lawful money of the United States with legal interest thereon from the day of the date of those presents on or before the expiration of eighteen months from the day of the date whereof then and in such case that Indenture and every clause matter and thing therein contained should cease determine and be absolutely void as by reference to said in part recited Indenture recorded among the land records of the county aforesaid in Liber W G No 115 folio 344 &c may more fully and at large appear and Whereas the said William Reeves hath paid and satisfied unto the said Thorndick Chase and John Snyder the aforesaid sum of five hundred dozers and all Interest thereon Now this Indenture Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the above recited premises and of the sum of one dollar to the said Thorndick Chase and John Snyder well and truly paid by the said William Reeves at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Thorndick Chase and John Snyder do hereby acknowledge and confess themselves to be therewith fully satisfied and paid and thereof and therein and of and from the mortgage debt secured as aforesaid and paid do release acquit and forever discharge the said William Reeves his heirs executors and administrators and also the mortgaged premises aforesaid by these presents the said Thorndick Chase and John Snyder have bargained sold assigned transferred and released and by these presents do bargain sell assign transfer and release unto the said William Reeves his executors administrators and assigns the piece or parcel of ground and premises above described and so mortgaged as aforesaid Together with the appurtenances To have and to hold the same ground and premises with the appurtenances unto the said William Reeves his executors administrators and assigns free and clear and freely and clearly exonerated and discharged of and from all claims and demands of the said Thorndick Chase and John Snyder therein to the proper use and behoof of the said William Reeves his executors administrators and assigns for and during all the rest residue and remainder of the term yet to come and unexpired therein as fully as if the said in part recited Indenture of Mortgage had never been executed subject however to the rents to which the same premises are liable In Testimony whereof the said Thorndick Chase and John Snyder have hereunto subscribed their names and affixed their seals on the day and year first above written.Signed sealed and delivered in the }Thorndick Chase (seal)

State of Maryland Baltimore County Sc Be it Remembered that on this thirtieth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fourteen before the subscribers two Justices of the Peace in and for the county aforesaid personally appeared Thorndick Chase and John Snyder the parties of the first part named in the foregoing Indenture of release or Instrument of writing and do acknowledge the same to be their act and deed In Testimony whereof we hereunto subscribe our names on the day and year aforesaid
