Transcription
THIS INDENTURE made the twenty first day of August in the Year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred & fifteen between John Reeves of Orange County and State of North Carolina of the one part and George Reeves of the County & State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said George Reeves for and in Consideration of (sic) doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted and bargained and Confirmed and by these presents doth give grant bargain and Confirm unto the said John Reeves his heirs & assigns forever all of a Certain Tract or parcel of Land Situate lying and being in the County aforesaid butted & bounded as followeth To Wit, Begining at a Hickory Frederick a Corner to Frederick Lloyd Runing thence East Four chains Seventy five links to a B. J. a Corner to said Reeves thence with his line north Twelve chains & fifty links to a Hcikory (sic) his corner thence East Seven chains fifty links to a B.J. a Corner to Col. McCawley thence South thirty Nine Chains to a Red Oak another of his Corners on Andrews line thence with said line West Eleven chains to a Red Oak Saplin thence South with another of Andrews lines forty six chains to his (sic) a White Oak & Black Oak thence West one chain & ten links to a Stake on Frederick Lloyds line thence north to the begining Containing by estimation Forty Seven Acres be the same more or less; and also all Woods Ways Water Courses and all the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the revision & revisions, remainder and remainders, rents Issues & profits of the said Lands & premises and every part thereof and all the Estate right title Interest Claim property and demand whatsoever of the said George Reeves of in and to the Lands and premises hereby granted to have and to hold the aforesaid Land & premises with the the (sic) appurtenances unto the said John Reeves his heirs & assigns to the only proper use & behoof of the said John Reeves his heirs and assigns forever: And the said George Reeves for himself for himself (sic) and his heirs the aforesaid land & premises & every part thereof against him and his heirs and against the claim or claims of all & every other person or persons whatsoever to the said John Reeves his heirs & assigns shall & will Warrent (sic) & forever defend by these presents; In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal the day & date above writtenTest George Reeves (Seal)
