This Indenture made and confirmed this fourth of September in the year of lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen and fortyeth of American Independence between William Randle and Susana his wife of the State of Georgia and County of Greene of the one part and Irvin Reaves and Benjamin Colquett of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that they the said William Randle and Susana his wife for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty two thousand pounds merchinable cleaned cotton to them in hand paid by the said Irvin Reaves and Benjamin Colquett at or before the sealing Delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and they themselves there with contented paid and satisfied hath granted bargained sold and delivered and doth by these presents bargain sell sel over and confirmed to them the said Irvin Reaves and Benjamin Colquett their heirs and assigns one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situate on the waters of the Bever dam Creek in the County and state aforesaid Beginning at a post oak and running thence N40 E 55 C50 links to a dogwood thence S70 E23 C50 links to sweet gum in the creek thence S15 W85 C to a pine on the west side of the Sparta road on Kenedys old line thence N45 W42 C to a pine thence S35 W20 C to a black oak on the west side of the Branch thence N8 E34 C50 links to a post oak the beginning containing three Hundred and twenty two and half acres be the same more or less together with all and singular the rights preveleges and appertainances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to them the said Irvin Reaves and Benjamin Colquett their heirs and assigns forever as an estate in fee simple and he the said William Randle and Susana his wife will warrant and forever defend by these presents the above described tract of land and premises and every part and parcel thereof to them the said Irvin Reaves and Benjamin Colquett their heirs and assigns free from the claim of them the said William Randle and Susana his wife their heirs and representatives and from the lawfull claim or pretentions of all and every other person or persons whatsoever In testimony whereof we the said William Randle and Susana his wife hath hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written.
