The State of South Carolina Chester District
Know all men by these presents that I William C Reeves of the State and District aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred Dollars to me in hand payd by Elizabeth Reeves of sd Dist. also have Granted Bargained and sould and by these presents do Grant Bargain and sell unto her the said Elizabeth Reeves a certain Tract of land lying on the Waters of Fishing Creek on the east side being part of a Tract Originally Granted unto Patrick Hamelton Sept the first AD 1768 for three Hundred acres which part contains by resurvey of John Jenins May 5th 1814 the quantity of one Hundred and two Acres and hath such shapes and form and marks as will appear on the sd Jenkins Plat which is Attached to the conveyance from a former owner Robert Rock unto me which is herewith transferred being bounded on the South by part of the original Grant in the Hand of Aron Gordon on the West by one other part in the hand of John MCurry.
Together with all and singular the rights members heredimantes and appurtenances to the said premises belonging or in any wise incident or appurtaining to Have and to Hold all and singular the premises before mentioned unto her the sd Elizabeth Reeves her heirs and assigns forever and I do hereby bind myself my heirs executors and Administrators to warrant and forever Defend all and singular the sd premises unto the sd Elizabeth Rives her heirs and assigns against myself my heirs and every other person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. Nevertheless and it is hereby entended that if the sd William C Reeves shall within hte term of four years by himself his heirs or executors pay or cause to be paid unto the sd Elizabeth Reeves her heirs Executors or assigns the full amount of a certain Bond for one hundred Dollars dated on or about the 24 of Febr 1816 and payable from the said William C Reeves to the sd Elizabeth Reeves together with all the legal interest thereon then the above obligation and conveyance shall be utterly null and voide and of none effect otherwise it shall remain in full force and in law and equity. Given under my hand and seal July the 26th 1816
