Transcript

This Indenture made the fourth day of November eighteen hundred and sixteen between Asa Reeves of the one part and George Bishop of the other part and all of the County of Fleming and State of Kentucky Witnesseth that the said Asa Reeves for and in consideration of the sum of the sum of Twelve pounds to him in hand paid by the aforesaid George Bishop the 29th January in the 1790 the receipt whereof the said Asa Reeves do hereby acknoledge have granted bargained sold alined infeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien infeoff release and confirm unto the said George Bishop his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land being in the County of Fleming and State aforesaid and on Poplar run waters of Fleming Creek it being part of Mosbys 10 040 acre survey and bounded as follows Begining at two sugar trees and a white oak stump on the side of poplar run and at the said George Bishop's tanyard and runing thence North seventy one west passing of Robert Harpers at one hundred & four poles and containing with said Harper's line in all one hundred and twentyfive poles & two links to a stone in said Harper's line thence North Twentyfive degrees East seventy six poles to a stone thence south seventy one degrees and a half east one hundred twentyfive poles and one fourth to a white oak thence south twentyfive west seventy six poles to the beginning containing fifty acres being more or less and all house buildings orchards ways water courses profits commodities and appurtenances there unto belonging also reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof also all estate right title and interest of them the said Asa Reeves of in and to the same to have and to hold the said tract of land situate as aforesaid with its appertinances unto the said George Bishop his heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use of him the said George Bishop his heirs and assigns forever and the said Asa Reeves his heirs executors administrators doth covenant premises and agree to and with the said George Bishop his heirs and assigns against the claim of all and every person and persons whomsoever shall and will forever warrant and forever defend by these presents in witness whereof the said Asa Reeves have hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written
