1817 Deed -Ewing to Thomas Reeves

This deed of conveyance made & entered into this tenth day of November in the year eighteen hundred & seventeen between Thomas Ewing of the County & state aforesaid of the one part & Thomas Reeves of the County of Jones & state aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Ewing for and in consideration of the sum of two thousand five hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said Thomas Reeves the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath this day granted, bargained and conveyed & by these presents doth grant, bargain sell & convey to Thomas Reeves his heirs & assigns al that land or parcel of and situate lying & being in the county & state aforesaid and on the waters of Curries Creek Beginning at a pine S69 W53 chains to a post oak on Kings line thence N20 W5.50 to a stake thence S69 W 34.50 thence N21 W25.25 to a stake to a stake (sic) & post oak on the original line Thence N69 E87.50 to a pine thence S21 E 39.50 to the beginning. Also one other part or parcel adjoining the above described tract beginning at a Stake & red oak on the original line of a survey of Co. Leonard Marbury running N21 W50 chains a post oak corner thence N69 E53 to a pine & thence S21 E50 to (unreadable) where the Original red oak corner stood thence to the beginning which said described tracts or parcels of land making in the whole five hundred & twenty three acres be the same more or less To had & to hold the said tracts or parcel of land together with all the rights & members thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining & the said Thomas Ewing doth warrant & defend said tracts & parcels of land from his heirs & assigns & from all & every other person or persons to him the said Thomas Reeves his heirs & assigns in fee simple Forever. In Witness whereof the said Thomas Ewing has hereunto set his hand & Seal the day & year above written.
