1818 Wilkes County Deed from Richard Reeves to Jesse Brazell

This Indenture made this Twenty second day of August one thousand eight hundred and Eighteen Between Richard Reeves of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and Jesse Brazell of Said State and County of the other part.
Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged hath bargained and sold and by these presents to bargain sell Convey and Confirm unto the Said Jesse Brazell his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of Land being and lying in the Territory of Illinois containing one hundred and Sixty Acres being the South west quarter of Section twenty three of Township Two North in Range Nine west in the Tract appropnated by the several acts of Congress for military Bounties in the aforesaid territory of Illinois together with Every rite title privilege and Emolument to the said land belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold in fee simple to the said Jesse Brazell his heirs and assigns forever free and clear of all incumbrance and Claims of him the Said Richard Reeves his heirs and assigns and all and Every person or persons whatsoever In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date first Written.
