Transcript

This Indenture made the 15th day of Sept 1819 Between Thomas Brothers of the State of Tennessee and County of Rutherford of the one part and William Reaves of the State aforesaid and County of Bedford of the other Part Witnesseth that the sd Brothers for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and sixty dollars to him the sd Brothers in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained and sold unto the sd Reaves a certain piece or parcel of land situate lying in the County of Bedford & State aforsd joining & between lands of Thos Brothers William Bigham & Widow Taylor Beginning at two sugartrees on the top of a dividing ridge between Duck & stones Rover and running thence east one hundred & twenty poles to a locus thence North sixty poles to a (?) Thence westward by with the top of the ridge to a sugartree and S Brothers west boundary line thence to the place of Beginning Containing by estimation sixty acres be the same more or less. To have and to hold the said bargained Premises with all and every of its rights properties emoluments & hereditaments belonging or in any ways appertaining thereunto and the said Brothers for himself his heirs Excs Administrators do covenant and agree to and with the said Reaves his heirs Executors & admrs the above bargained land & premises for the lawfull or just claim of any person or persons whatsoever will warrant and forever defend In Witness whereof the said Brothers has set his hand and seal the Day and year above written
