Be it known that I William Reeves of the County of Rowan and State of North Carolina for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and seventy five Dollars to me in hand paid by John C. Reeves of the County and State aforesaid at and before the sealing and signing of these presents the receipt and payment whereof in full is hereby acknowledged have bargained, Sold, aliened Enfeoffed, paid confirmed and I do hereby bargain, sell enfeoff and confirm unto the said John C. Reeves all my distributive share of land which falls to me of the Estate of my deceased father Samuel Reeves out of that tract lying in the said County of Rowan and State aforesaid on the Beaverdam Creek the whole tract bounded by Alexander Dobbins, Alexander Cowan’s heirs and Thomas G. Polk Containing one hundred and seventy five and three fourths acres my share hereby conveyed contains thirty five and one eighths acres. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said part or parcel of land with all woods, ways, waters and water courses and every other appurtenance thereunto belonging to the said John C. Reeves, his heirs and assigns forever (in fee simple) and I the said William Reeves for myself my heirs executors and administrators do hereby covenant and promise to and with the said John C. Reeves, his heirs and assigns that I by myself my heirs executors and administrators shall and will warrant and forever defend the said part or parcel of land with all and every of its members and appurtenances free from all lawful claim or claims of any person or persons whoever unto the said John C. Reeves his heirs and assigns forever In Witness whereof I the said William Reeves have hereunto set my hand and seal this ninth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & twenty one
